DStv is shaking things up with its new pricing for 2024, set to kick in on April 1st. But fear not, EasyView, ADD Movies, and BoxOffice pricing will stay unchanged, and all streaming-only services will maintain their current subscription fees. However, access fees will increase from R115 to R120.
Now, here's the cherry on top: customers who use Price Guarantee before March 31st, 2024, will pay R879 for Premium, R399 for Compact, and R109 for Access.
And why the price hikes, you ask? According to MultiChoice SA CEO Marc Jury, it's all about balancing the books in the face of a 16% year-on-year depreciation of the Rand against the US Dollar. Plus, they're committed to securing long-term broadcast sports rights and international studio deals, which come with a hefty price tag in US Dollars.
